MTV, BET & 7 Other Networks SUSPEND Programming for #WhatNow Special.

with technology being at the forefront of our fingers, yet a nation is becoming more and more divided. BET, and MTV stepped up for a town hall style special, tonight Friday July 8th at 10pm. The two popular networks along with their 7 other affiliates under the Viacom umbrella will air the #WhatNow special as well as live broadcast via Facebook and Youtube.
this is an opportunity for the youth, the leaders, everyone to tune in, brainstorm, unite and solve. Viewers are able to tweet in using the #WhatNow, and call in with input to the town hall meeting. Focused on Race and Violence in America due to the tragic week our country has seen, the special airs tonight at 10pm. The discussion will be moderated by Jamil Smith, Marc Lamont Hill, Charlamagne Tha God and Franchesca Ramsey. please tune in.

Beyonce Calls for Action in response to #AltonSterling and #PhilandoCastile murders.

the tragic senseless murders of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile have the world in an uproar. since we are so in tune with pop culture, now more than ever we need our icons, musicians and celebrities to use their platforms to help with this battle. this is the type of response and type of leadership we need. directing those who are able to voice their opinion, but don't know how to for change. Beyonce posted on her personal website yesterday a call to action for everyone, regardless of your race, sexuality or background. in the call to action she requests that you contact your local political officials. read the entire call to action below, and click the links to submit to both Minnesota and Louisiana legislature (states where shootings took place).
